Contents of the Evicting Squatters Kit
Instructions. This is the most important part of the kit. It:
- Explains the circumstances when you can use the procedure set out in the kit
- Gives guidance on when and how you can use ‘self help’ measures
- Tells you what documentation you need to obtain before you can apply to the court
- Gives detailed instructions on completing the court forms
- Gives detailed instructions about service of the paperwork on the squatters
- Describes the hearing in detail – how to prepare for it and what to do at court, and
- Explains how to enforce the possession order through the county court bailiffs
The instructions are written on the basis that the reader knows nothing about court proceedure, and are very detailed.
Pre-issue documentation. These include a letter before action to serve on the squatters, and an application form for applying for Office Copy Entries at the Land Registry
Court claim forms. These are partially pre-drafted for you, and include a form of statement which you will need to include with the paperwork. We also include blank court forms just in case the kit forms are not suitable for you
Other forms. There is also a pre-drafted certificate of service form (and a blank form if this is not suitable) and the form you need to instruct the county court bailiffs.
Articles. There are also some relevant articles, to help you.
The kit includes some telephone support and access to an online discussion forum. (see more about this >> here)
